Aleryos: Four Months of Evolution, and What’s Next
Four months after launch: recap, Steam preparation, and an upcoming slower-paced universe. Asterion will remain in place, without any reset.
Commanders,
After a 45-day beta, Aleryos has officially launched in June. Four months later, I wanted to give you an update on what we’ve accomplished—and where the project is headed next.
Four Months of Evolution
Since launch, the game has grown significantly: new mechanics, more possibilities, and many balance adjustments.
I know that some changes sparked disagreements or frustration—especially when they disrupted your strategies. But every new mechanic can shift the balance as a whole. We need to combine your experience, the data, and a global view of the game to maintain consistent progress and multiple ways to play.
It’s a difficult exercise—but it’s necessary to build a deep, living game.
Consolidate the Game and Prepare for Steam
Today, Aleryos is getting closer to what I originally wanted to offer. There are still ideas, but the priority is no longer to constantly add major new mechanics.
Now, I want to consolidate what’s already here, keep fixing issues, and finalize the Steam release. A few additions may still be possible before the opening of the new universe, but they won’t be my focus.
I’ll also spend more time on communication: attracting new commanders is essential to keep alliances, exchanges, and conflicts alive.
A New Universe Soon
I’m preparing a new universe in two to three weeks, toward the end of October or early November. The exact date is still to be confirmed.
Planned speeds are:
- Construction : ×2
- Production : ×1
This slower pace should make room for choice, progression steps, and different strategies. The goal is to avoid unlocking every mechanic within a few weeks, only to end up constantly building bigger and bigger.
This universe will have, from day one, all the gameplay developed over the past few months. I’m also preparing new events to accompany its launch.
Why a New Start?
Even with the galactic catch-up, joining a universe where some empires have several months of head start can discourage new players.
This new universe will let those who want to start together, on the same starting line — with a game that is far more polished than in June.
Asterion remains in place: it will not be removed or reset. Your empires and progression will be preserved. The new universe is added to the existing one, not replacing it.
What Happens After the Opening?
After that, I want to strengthen alliance gameplay and interactions on the map: interceptions of PvE fleets, base construction, territorial conflicts…
These improvements will be worked on after the opening of the new universe—progressively, and taking your suggestions into account. Until then, the priority remains preparing the release, keeping the game stable, and delivering new events.
Finally, thank you to everyone who plays, reports issues, shares ideas, and keeps Aleryos alive. And thanks also to those who were here before leaving, and to the faithful who’ve been present since the beginning.
Your involvement has mattered a lot in what the game has become.
