Chat Channels and the Blacklist

The answers describe chat channels, their access requirements, and the effects of adding a player to the blacklist.

Chat Channels

Chat is used for real-time communication.

There are several channels: GLOBAL, ALERYOS, QUESTIONS, language channels, alliance, Federation, direct messages, and groups. Access requirements for alliance channels and the Federation are described in the article on the alliance family.

Private channels are accessible only to the players involved.

ALERYOS is visible to everyone but reserved for announcements from the Aleryos team. Language channels display conversations tailored to the account language, with broader access for administrators.

Blocking Players with the Blacklist

The blacklist lets you prevent a player from contacting you privately and hide their messages in chat.

You can add or remove a player from Diplomacy > Blacklist.

When a player is on your blacklist:

  • they can no longer send you a private message through the messaging system;
  • their messages are no longer visible to you in chat;
  • they can no longer send a message in the direct channel between you.

The direct channel can still be created or opened. If the blocked player tries to send a message there, the message is rejected and they see: You are on <pseudo>'s blacklist.

Group and alliance channels remain accessible, but messages from the blocked player are hidden from you there.
