It centralizes important reports and messages.
The messaging system receives combat, espionage, exploration, scavenging, transport, recycling, and colonization reports, as well as system messages. Reports generated by an action are sent there as messages and can be viewed there.
Scavenging reports are filed under Logistics.
Reading the results for embarked craft
In a space combat report, craft launched from hangars are included in the committed forces, losses, and survivors for their respective models. The turn log shows their participation alongside that of the other ships, according to the information visible in the report copy.
If surviving craft can no longer re-embark, the Evacuation without hangars section lists the models and quantities in the rescue group that was formed. In a group attack, this information is shown for the relevant participants when available. The radar displays this route separately under Hangar rescue.
This information describes the outcome of launch and participation in combat, followed by re-embarkation and rescue. An older copy without this information cannot be used to reconstruct those details; report redactions still apply.
