On the Galaxy map, zoom in until merchant ships appear, spot their moving copper-colored silhouettes, then select the Trading Post and choose its contact action to send a Space Probe. After first contact, find the ship at its current position, select it, and open its trade action to view your offer.

  • Details for the visible portion of the map are shown starting at zoom level ×15, on desktop and mobile alike. Zoom in on the area the ship travels through and make sure the Vellambre Trading Posts filter is enabled. The Trading Post retains its own identity and occupies no planetary slot; see Explore the continuous map.
  • A new voyage may appear every 5 to 8 hours. Several Trading Posts can be present at the same time.
  • Before first contact, you can launch several probes toward the same ship. As soon as one probe establishes contact, this option is no longer available.
  • The message you receive pinpoints where the probe encountered the merchant. Since the ship continues along its route, it may have moved by the time you read the message.
  • Select the ship at its current position and open its trade action to view your offer.
  • The offer is random, individual, and fixed for each player and each voyage. It may include RT, an accessory fragment, or a rare resource.
  • Each player can complete only one transaction per voyage, using the active planet's stock.
  • If the Vellambre Trading Post disappears before contact—particularly when the merchant completes its crossing before the probe arrives—the server ends the pursuit and automatically creates a return trip from the position reached. The probes return intact, with no refund or additional fuel charge.
