General questions
What is Aleryos?
Aleryos is a free, persistent multiplayer space strategy game playable in a browser and on Android. You can build your empire across up to 13 planets, join one of the five human factions, and benefit from your alliance's technologies. You can negotiate trade pacts or total pacts, trade Iron, Crystal, and Aether on the Federation market, and between wars explore, launch a mining mission, or attack PvE factions solo or in a group. War is fought in space and on the ground: you design your own ships, and Pillars carry your troops into ground attacks, ground exploration, drone espionage, and hacking enemy Sensors. The game is developed by one person, GeeKoS.
Discover AleryosIs Aleryos free, with no paid loot boxes or subscription?
Yes, Aleryos is free, with no paid loot boxes or subscription. You can buy Astrium, a currency that grants advantages and speed-ups. In the shop, every purchase shows its price and effects before confirmation, with no random draws. In-game purchases are optional. The shop offers consumables, bundles, premium bundles, and cosmetics. A monthly limit applies to certain direct consumable purchases; premium bundles are excluded from this cap.
Astrium and the shopDo you have to pay to progress?
No, you can play and progress without paying; purchased Astrium grants advantages and speed-ups. Another currency, Echoes, is earned through play, for example through votes and events, while Cartridges, Charges, and Matrices are obtained for free through exploration and events.

Play on AndroidDo you need to download anything to play in a browser?
No, Aleryos can be played directly in your browser, with no download required. The Android app is another option, not a requirement.
Start playingHow do you create ships?
Every ship starts with a design you create in the Shipyard. A design combines a chassis with hulls, engines, weapons, and shields, and the game calculates its attack, durability, cargo capacity, and consumption. You can save up to 15 custom designs.
Designing ship modelsWhat are the Pillars?
Pillars project your ground forces from one planet to another, consuming Weave Resonators. They are used for ground attacks, transport, espionage, exploration, and colonization, since new colonies can only be founded via Pillars. An attack using Pillars triggers a ground battle, separate from space combat.
The Pillar networkHow do shields work in ground combat?
Each unit has its own shield and hit points. Damage hits its shield first; once a shield is broken, it does not recharge until the battle ends. The wiki explains how shields recharge each turn and gives an example.
Shields in ground combatWhat happens when you lose a battle?
After a space battle, ships may return damaged or be repaired at the Repair Dock; others are permanently destroyed. In ground combat, the Hospital heals some wounded units. Losses and returns depend on the battle's outcome: the wiki explains the rules in detail.
The consequences of space combatHow can you protect yourself while you're away?
Some of your recent production is protected by the sanctuary and cannot be plundered. You can also shelter your army on a planet where the Pillars are disabled.
Protecting your fleet, army, and resourcesCan you play without attacking other players?
Yes, you can focus on development and PvE: battles against game-managed PvE factions and archaeological excavations. Aleryos is still a multiplayer game: other players can attack you in space and in ground combat.
Battles against the ErrantsCan you play as part of an alliance?
Yes, alliances can sign pacts with other alliances and jointly fund infrastructure in their Territories. Against the Errants, a coordinated space attack can include up to 10 players from the same alliance, including the leader.
Alliances and their TerritoriesIs Aleryos a game like OGame?
Yes, Aleryos belongs to the same family as OGame: a free, browser-based multiplayer space strategy game with planets, fleets, and alliances in a persistent universe. It takes strategy further with factions, alliance technologies, pacts to negotiate, and the Federation market. And war isn't limited to space: you design your ships, and your troops attack on the ground through the Pillars.
Aleryos fleets and combatIs the game available in English?
Yes, Aleryos is available in 20 languages, including English. You can change the language in the game, and your choice is saved when you sign up. The rules wiki has 64 articles, translated into those 20 languages.
