The inventory stores items the player can use.
It can contain items such as Iris, universal fragments, or resource chests.
Some items are activated on the active planet, while others are used to upgrade a global system.
Each premium item has a specific effect.
The main items are:
Iris of the Pillars: added to the inventory; see how to activate it;Resource Chest: gives resources on the active planet; see how to open it;Universal Fragment;Planetary Teleporter: an item reserved for players that instantly moves one of their planets to an available address; the server resolves that address to a specific location. A PvE planet or settlement, particularly the Federation, can never use it. A destination occupied by a player's planet, a PvE/gameplay environment, or a Debris field is rejected. A planet can only be moved again once every 45 days; the player must wait 48 hours between two moves and can successfully complete only 3 moves within any rolling 30 days. After the move, no new departure can be launched from that planet for 30 minutes. The temporary migration button in Overview is separate: migration beneficiaries have five moves in total during the seven days following the shared reopening, with no new item or new standard cooldown. Ongoing missions and existing ordinary locks remain blocking.Bulk purchases are available for certain items. Direct purchases of 24h resource chests, Iris, and Universal Fragments share a budget of 200 000 Astrium per UTC calendar month, per account and per universe, to preserve balance among players. You can allocate this allowance freely, including spending it entirely on just one of these consumables. Emperor, Monarch, and Rise of the Empire packs, as well as items obtained from other sources, do not consume this budget. The counter starts at zero when this rule is implemented: previous purchases are excluded. The Planetary Teleporter is not included among the direct purchases counted toward this budget; for its availability in the shop and its other sources of acquisition, see the section on premium purchases.
You can buy several Universal Fragments; their use is described in the section on upgrading them. For the chest and choice of resource, see the opening rules.
An Iris is used to protect a planet against a ground attack via the Pillars.
The Iris must be activated on a planet.
Once active, it can block a ground incursion. The Iris used is then consumed.
Chests give resources when used. Some give a generic amount; others target a specific resource: Iron, Crystal, or Aether.
When using a generic chest, the player chooses which resource they want to receive on their active planet.
The generic 24h chest is limited to 5 openings per UTC day, regardless of its source. Its direct purchase in the premium shop is subject to the shared monthly budget described in the effects and uses of premium items; it no longer has an individual purchase cap in units. Generic 1h and 6h chests, as well as targeted chests, use neither this budget nor this opening limit. The 1h chest grants one twenty-fourth of the 24h value of the chosen resource, rounded down to the nearest whole number.
The value of chests is updated every day at 00:00 UTC based on production from the top 10. Cartridges active at the time of this calculation contribute to the production used, even if their effect is temporary.
The Iron Cartridge, Crystal Cartridge, and Aether Cartridge respectively increase Iron, Crystal, and Aether production on the selected planet. Each variant provides +10 %, +25 %, or +50 % for 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days from the time it is activated.
The percentage applies to the resource’s effective base production, after adjustments, available energy, and the planet’s natural modifier. It is added separately to other bonuses. For Aether, it increases gross production; consumption and storage limits keep their usual rules.
Only one Cartridge per resource can be active on a planet. You can therefore use an Iron Cartridge, a Crystal Cartridge, and an Aether Cartridge at the same time. A second Cartridge for the same resource is rejected while the previous effect is active: it does not replace the active one or extend its duration.
The effect continues to run offline and in vacation mode. Vacation mode retains its production rules. Abandoning the planet removes its effects without returning the items used. Items still in the inventory do not expire.
Example: an effective base of 1 000 Iron per hour, another bonus of 400, and a +50 % Cartridge yield 1 900 Iron per hour for the duration of the effect.
The Construction, Research, Naval, Assembly, Training, and Fortification Charges apply respectively to buildings, research, the shipyard, specialized units, population, and defenses. Each Charge immediately reduces the remaining time of the selected active item or batch on the planet by 10 %, 25 %, or 50 %.
A Charge has no duration. It applies to the entire active batch, including a batch of multiple ships or population units, without changing queued batches. It covers operations in the same category, including ship components, assembly, transformation, repair, recycling, and healing. If several compatible batches are active, you choose which one to accelerate when you confirm.
You can use several Charges one after another. Each applies to the time remaining after the previous one. If a batch finishes between the preview and confirmation, it is not automatically replaced by the next batch; use is rejected and the item is kept.
Example: for a batch with 10 hours remaining, two 50 % Charges successively reduce the remaining time to 5 hours, then to 2 hours and 30 minutes. Units that have finished are credited through the queue’s usual resolution.
The Construction, Research, Naval, Technical, Training, and Fortification Matrices reduce the costs of buildings, research, shipyard operations, specialized units, population, and defenses, respectively. Each variant provides a 5 %, 10 %, or 15 % discount for 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days.
The discount applies to the Iron, Crystal, and Aether costs of new orders paid for during the effect, after existing reductions and with the usual rounding. It does not reduce Astrium, energy, or reserved components or units. The order’s duration keeps its usual calculation. An order already paid for does not benefit retroactively from a Matrix; an order paid for during the effect keeps its cost even if it starts after the effect expires. Recycling returns retain their existing safeguards.
Only one Matrix per category can be active on a planet. Different categories can coexist, as can Cartridges and Matrices. A second Matrix in the same category is rejected without consuming the item, replacing the active one, or extending its duration.
The timer continues to run offline and in vacation mode. Abandoning the planet removes active effects without returning the items. Matrices still in the inventory do not expire.
Example: a new order costing 100 000 Iron after other reductions costs 85 000 Iron with a 15 % Matrix.
