Trade Value, Balance, and Loans

This article brings together trade estimates, the balance margin, the deadline for balancing trades, and the temporary loans described in the answers.

Calculating trade value

This is the value of a trade converted into its Iron equivalent.

The base values are:

  • 1 Iron = 1
  • 1 Crystal = 1,5 Iron
  • 1 Aether = 3 Iron

Populations and specialized devices are valued based on their production cost converted into Iron equivalent, with some values fixed by trade rules.

Estimating a trade with the simulator

It is used to estimate a trade, not to execute it.

The player chooses what they want to sell, enters a quantity, then the simulator calculates the total value and displays the possible equivalents in other tradable items. The valuation catalog is presented in the section on trade value.

The simulation does not move anything. The actual transfer always goes through an authorized mission.

Trade balance, closure, and oversight

A balanced trade remains within the allowed margin of 25%. If the difference exceeds this margin, the server refuses to close it; players must add a balancing delivery before requesting closure.

An unfair trade may be subject to a moderation review if the situation reveals abuse or circumvention of the rules.

Trade balancing deadline

A trade must be balanced within 48 hours.

The rules require the trade to be regularized within 48 hours after the first delivery. Trade tracking displays open, closed, or expired statuses to help monitor trades.

Temporary loans and losses during missions

Two players bound by a valid pact may temporarily lend each other resources or units, provided they return them or regularize the trade within 48 hours of the first delivery.

When the same items are returned in identical quantities, the corresponding shipments are automatically canceled in the trade log.

As part of a shared army—space-based with a fleet or land-based with Pillars—some units may be lost in combat before they are returned. This loss is a legitimate reason that may explain why a trade remains unfair.

In the event of a review, moderation will take this context into account sympathetically, particularly when mission or combat reports clearly link the discrepancy to the losses incurred.

This tolerance does not cover abusive transfers or sham loans intended to circumvent the rules of trade fairness.
