Hero Accessories

This page describes how accessories are crafted and transferred, their compatibility and effects, and their upgrade levels and costs.

Craft, Equip, and Transfer

Accessories are crafted in the Forge using exactly 15 identical fragments matching their recipe. Crafting is immediate, with no additional cost, no experience, and no in-game mail message. Each accessory is unique and must be unequipped before being transferred to another hero.

Accessories are placed in two free slots. A compatible specialized or general-purpose accessory can be equipped in either slot; two specialized accessories can therefore accompany the same hero if their compatibilities allow it. General equipment rules are described in Heroes and Accessories.

The player owns their resources, fragments, and accessories, and retains them when changing faction.

Accessory Catalog

AccessoryCompatibility and effect
Mnemic Atlas5% independent chance to double the final quantity of an obtained fragment; the check occurs after any depth-based doubling.
Stratigraphic ScannerAdds the site's raw statistics to the Excavation report only for 12 h or 24 h missions. It remains unchanged: no levels, no upgrade cost, and no change to its readings.
Command CodexIncreases the hero's experience gained upon completion by 20%, without affecting faction experience.
Spectral DecoderNaël's accessory: refines known compositions in the Hacking report, from general sizes at level I to exact quantities for known models at level V. Starting at level II, the manifest also gives the exact quantities of Iron, Crystal, and Aether known to the Sensors; unknown cargo remains unknown.
Trajectory SynchronizerNaël's accessory: refines the remaining delays of Errants in increments of 60 minutes without equipment, then 45/30/15/10/5 minutes at levels I–V, when the targeted network belongs to an Errant. At level V, 18 minutes remaining are shown as “less than 20 minutes.” For the five categories of human movements and the reading frozen at the time of observation, see Hacking: Process and Report. The hero's level affects stealth without refining the delay increments.

Upgrade Levels and Costs

The Mnemic Atlas and Command Codex can be upgraded from level I to level V. Each step requires exactly 5 matching fragments and its own recipe of 2 or 3 rare resources; the total cost rises from 4 to 8, then 12 and 20. The Atlas increases from 5% to 13%, and the Codex from 20% to 40%.

The Stratigraphic Scanner remains unchanged: it has no levels or upgrade cost. The Spectral Decoder and Trajectory Synchronizer also upgrade with 5 fragments per step, then 2+2, 4+4, 6+6, and 10+10 rare resources. The Decoder uses Mnemic Substrate and Weave Filament; the Synchronizer uses Weave Filament and Breach Condensate.

Effects are recorded when each mission starts, so an upgrade applies only to future missions.
